Ukhuwah Humanitarian Drive was established in July 2012 by a group of volunteers in Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS(Malaysia). The drive was officially registered under AN-NUR Islamic Center.
The aim of this drive was to support Syrian Refugees who have been forced to leave their homes and seek safety and shelter in the neighboring countries of Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan.
Due to the success achieved last year by this drive (with the help of Almighty Allah) then due to the increase in number of Refugees, the group would like to continue the drive this year with extending the spot of coverage to involve Rohingya Refugees as well. It intends to provide life saving shelters, essential food materials (sugar, rice, oil...etc) and help the refugees’ children accessing education facilities. All donations will be transferred to a trusted and high profile charity organization that will ensure that every cent is channeled appropriately and accounted for (Syrian and Rohingya refugees in neighboring countries). All transactions will be under the supervision of An-Nur Islamic Centre.
